Guest speaker to give special talk on history of Kew Gardens

Garden lovers and residents are being invited to join a guest speaker who will be detailing the history of the World Heritage Site Kew Gardens on October 18th.


Tom Edbrooke will present an illustrated talk of the gardens where he will discuss how the iconic gardens began with nine acres and ended up being its present size.

He will also be covering important factors such as the landscape architects who built the past and present gardens.

Cllr John Coombs, Lead Member for Libraries and Culture, said: “This is a great opportunity to learn about the rich history of one of the most amazing botanical gardens in the world. There will be tea, cake and plenty of opportunity to chat!”

The event starts at 11am until 12:15pm and is free with no booking is required.
